Bihar and Jharkhand Association of Canada (BAJCA) is a registered, tax-exempt non-profit organization of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) created in 2010. It has been working towards bringing friends and families together from Bihar, Jharkhand and Easter Uttar Pradesh for the last several years.
BAJCA organizes several programs during the year such as Makar Sankranti, Holi, Summer Picnic, and Dushehra/Diwali to bring cheer and celebrate festivals together in the GTA.
The year starts with Makar Sankranti and then ends with Chhath Puja, which is attended by many guests. In our cultural programs, we encourage the next generation to demonstrate their talents and exhibit their skills.
Our Motto
We believe in strong community
The Bihar and Jharkhand Association of Canada (BAJCA) was founded in 2010 to promote the cultural and social welfare of people from the Indian states of Bihar and Jharkhand living in Canada. Our motto is "unity in diversity" – we believe that our diversity is our strength. We are a volunteer-driven organization, and we work to build a strong community by organizing events and activities that bring us together. Our members come from all walks of life, and we welcome everyone who wants to join us in celebrating our culture.
Our Value
Since 2010, the Bihar and Jharkhand Association of Canada (BAJCA) has been working tirelessly to foster a strong cultural and social connection between the people of Bihar and Jharkhand, and their counterparts in Canada. One of the main objectives of BAJCA is to promote awareness of the rich cultural heritage of both states among Canadians. To this end, BAJCA organizes various events throughout the year, including cultural shows, food festivals, and business expositions.
Our Vision
BAJCA's vision is to raise funds, promote activities, and engage in voluntary work with mentally disadvantaged people in the Indian states of Bihar and Jharkhand. It aims to unite people of Indian communities, who originate from Bihar and Jharkhand, through strong community organizations across the Indian subcontinent.
Our Mission
BAJCA's principal mission is to accomplish, promote, and coordinate philanthropic, educational, and voluntary activities, serving physically and financially disadvantaged people in the Indian states of Bihar and Jharkhand, and connecting Indian communities in Canada who have origins in these Indian states via strong community organization, ecosystem building, and empowerment.
